Wayne McGregor's Random Dance will be presenting their new piece of work
entitled
“FAR” at The Spa, Bridlington on Monday 30 January 2012 7.30pm
Inspired by the controversial Age of Enlightenment and by French philosopher Diderot's very first set of encyclopaedias from the 1700s, FAR mines an era that first placed 'a body in question'. Ten company dancers confront the distortions, sensuality and feeling of the 18th Century's searing contemporary sensibility, to a new, haunting score by electronic superstar Brian Eno collaborator and Ben Frost.
Staged in a mesmerising environment of shadow and light designed by Random International and Lucy Carter, object and film designed by Moritz Junge and Ravi Deepres, FAR binds cutting edge design with choreography made from a radical cognitive research process.
